The survivors of the devastating Morocco earthquake are slowly rebuilding their lives in the Ighil region. Buying their produce – almonds and walnuts – supports them in a direct and tangible way.
Without direct access to markets, the villagers sell their harvest at a low cost to wholesalers who in turn sell them for 2-3 times the buying price.
We at Amal Center aim to disrupt that process and connect the villagers directly to consumers so they benefit from the enormous amount of painstaking manual labor they put into cultivation, harvesting and preparation.
So enjoy these organic, healthy nuts while supporting the resilient villagers of Ighil region.
